Featuring 6 inner cargo bed hooks and a rear gate with an easy to use single handle, the extra reinforcement in the construction of the spacious cargo bed makes it even more durable. Couple this with impressive power and torque and you can be confident that Triton will move whatever you need to with ease.
ROBUST DESIGN AND HANDLING
Built tough to handle whatever challenges come your way the Mitsubishi Triton is built for maximum stability and traction. Its legendary ladder chassis contributes to solid handling and its body is aerodynamically designed for stable highway performance. Its rugged suspension features double wishbones with coil springs and a stabiliser bar in front, plus no-nonsense above-the-axle leaf springs in the rear for outstanding traction.
Mitsubishi Triton Double Cabs offer a spacious cabin with generous rear seat legroom and a reclined seatback angle providing plenty of leg, shoulder and head room in the front and back, to easily carry five adults. With convenient features like Smartphone tray and USB charging sockets in centre console for front seat and rear seat passengers (GLS and GLS Premium models).
Power – you’ve either got it or you don’t. And with Triton you’ve got it in a big way.
2.4 LITRE MIVEC TURBO DIESEL ENGINE
At the core of Triton sits this refined and super-responsive 2.4L DOHC MIVEC 16 valve common rail intercooled diesel engine. An aluminium cylinder block, and strong yet lightweight materials reduce weight, and with a compression ratio of 15.5:1, it’s among the quietest and most efficient diesel engines on the market contributing to better torque and speed power across the whole rev range. In fact, we know it will exceed your expectations. Peak power is 133kW at 3500rpm, while torque is an impressive 430Nm at 2500rpm across both manual and automatic transmission models. The lightweight engine achieves low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions across the range, while also delivering outstanding power and performance.
Triton’s unique J-line design enables exceptional manoeuvrability and fuel economy without compromising interior cabin or load space. The compact wheelbase delivers an outstanding turning circle of 11.8 metres making parking and negotiating tight spaces easy.
Power & Torque
Power – either you’ve got it or you don’t. And with Triton you have it in a big way. Powered by Mitsubishi’s advanced 2.4L MIVEC Turbo Diesel engine, Triton is packed full of load pulling grunt, boasting 133kW@3500rpm of power and 430Nm@2500rpm of torque.
Triton’s 6-speed manual gives you total control of power delivery to match driving conditions. The stick with shorter, more satisfying shift stroke combines with somewhat lighter clutch for easier operation. The 6-speed automatic transmission with Manual Shift Mode features optimized top gear ratios, improved fuel economy and outstanding engine quietness even at high speeds. And when you want total control, Manual Shift Mode lets you shift up or down with a flick of the lever for sporty, manual-like driving pleasure.
Braked towing capacity
Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab 4x4~ models have a 3.1 tonne braked towing capacity. With a Gross Combination Mass rating of 5.885 tonne and low kerb mass, Triton provides the perfect balance between towing capacity and vehicle payload to suit a range of towing requirements.

Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS)3
Mitsubishi Motor’s Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System reduces the chance and severity of hitting obstacles 4m in front or behind when a driver mistakenly presses the accelerator when stationary or at speeds of up to 10km/h.
Blind Spot Warning (BSW) & Lane Change Assist (LCA)*4
Mitsubishi's Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assist helps you change lanes with confidence. The Lane Change Assist system sounds an audible alert and displays a blinking warning in the door mirrors when the system detects a high collision probability with a vehicle coming from behind moving to the same direction within 3.4m from your vehicle's side or rear bumper.
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)+
Mitsubishi's Lane Departure Warning uses a camera to issue an audible alert and shows a warning on the multifunction display if your vehicle drifts from its lane while the turn signals are not operating.
Hill Descent Control (HDC)Π
Mitsubishi's Hill Descent Control enables you to maintain a constant speed by controlling brake pressure according to the condition of the ground when going down a steep gradient at speeds between 2km/h and 20km/h.
Multi Around Monitor#
Mitsubishi's Multi Around Monitor provides a 360° birds eye view of your car. The view from cameras mounted on the front, rear and sides of the vehicle (including birds-eye view) can be displayed in various combinations to reveal what is in blind spots and help you park more safely.
Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) with pedestrian detection6+
Mitsubishi's Forward Collision Mitigation system detects obstructions ahead and issues a visual and audio alert when there is a danger of collision, automatically applying the brakes to avoid collision or reduce impact.
Auto High Beam (AHB)Π
Mitsubishi's Auto High Beam detects both the headlights of on coming vehicles and the tail lights of vehicles ahead, automatically switching between high and low beams.
Hill Start Assist (HSA)
Steep city streets or congested shopping mall ramps are no longer a problem with Mitsubishi’s Hill Start Assist technology. It prevents the car from rolling backwards by maintaining braking force to give you time to move your foot from brake to accelerator.
Auto Rain Sensing Wipers+
The Exceed is also equipped with front wipers that activate automatically when moisture is detected on the windscreen, allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and your focus on the road ahead.
Auto Dusk Sensing Headlamps+
Standard in the Triton Exceed Double Cab, your headlights will automatically illuminate in fading light or when you’re travelling through a tunnel.
Reverse Parking Camera and Parking SensorsΔ
Mitsubishi's Reverse Parking Sensors assist when parking in tight spots. Sensors detect and warn you if you're getting too close to objects behind you when reversing into a parking spot.
Anti-lock Braking System & Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
Mitsubishi's Anti-lock Braking System allows the driver to maintain steering control of the vehicle and manoeuvre around obstructions in heavy braking situations.
Mitsubishi's Electronic Brakeforce Distribution works hand-in-hand with your cars Anti-lock Braking Systems computer to assess load and distribute braking force between the front and rear wheels. When you have a load in the rear, it helps you stop in a shorter distance than with standard brakes.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)*5
Mitsubishi's Rear Cross Traffic Alert system helps detect a moving vehicle when reversing. It alerts you via a buzzer sound, and an indicator light appearing in the combination meter and blinking light in the side door mirror.
Available separately for the left and right windows of your vehicle, these handy weather shields can deter rain and run-off water from entering your cabin. This means you can drive with your window slightly down in rainy conditions.
Roof Carrier Cross Bars
Comprising a Foot Pack, Bar Pack and Fitting Kit, these Roof Racks are engineered to the highest standards. Available with a load capacity to suit your vehicle. These Roof Racks are also perfectly suited to a range of applications. Note: You must include the weight of the racks in calculating the load on the roof racks in relation to the rated capacity.
The Bonnet Protector is constructed of heavy duty acrylic and deflects flying stones from damaging the bonnet. It is ideal for country driving, where damage is most likely to occur. It is also easily removed and reattached for cleaning. Note: Available in clear or tinted finishes.
